Expansion was immediate. No waiting at all. If you want extra firm this is it folks. That's what I wanted. The only thing I would change is the covering. Even waterproof does not protect. But I found fabulous waterpad on Amazon to solve that problem. I do not want any expensive spring loaded mattress ever again.

I bought 2 of them for my kids trundle bed and they love the mattress. I must say, it is pretty darn comfy. Definitely recommend. When delivered it comes in a box and the mattress is wrapped in plastic. It's very easy to unroll the plastic. It takes a few days for the bed to fluff out completely. And it has a chemical smell when you take it out so i recommend getting some fabric disinfectant spray. That helped a lot

I was a little skeptical at first when we took it out of the box. It took a few hours to fully form and seemed like it would be too short to fit in a bunkbed by several inches, but it eventually fit perfectly. Our toddler really likes it and it's a great product.
