My son-in-law has a Bushnell Perma-Focus 10 X 50 mm. He and I loved them. But I did not like roll down eye-cups and most of my viewing closer than 30 ft. This left me to research. Walmart and Bushnell Websites were wonderful to use for the comparisons. After deciding which Bushnell I wanted I compared what else other brands had to offer and how much. The Bushnell Legacy 10 X 50 mm was my choice. Legacy's focus system is already like second nature. When changing from close viewing to a distance my finger automatically is changing the focus. With the close-in-viewing the birds are spectacular. I suppose I can thank the BaK-4 prisms plus the fog and water proofing for that. The twist-up eye-cups allows for quick change from glasses to bare eye or back. The only thing is the weight. Nobody can give all the features without the weight. I was aware when I made the purchase and it was worth it. So if I see the need to buy a Tripod so be it. I highly recommend Bushnell and their Legacy Model 120150.
