Safety 1st Rest-and-Romp Play Yard

This is a wonderful bassinet that is easy to use and take places with you. It folds flat so it is easy to pack away. It is a bit heavy, almost 20 pounds. It is easy to turn it into a play space for a baby and the mesh lets the air in and through it. Our little one enjoys having the room to explore and we like that it is safe for him.

To start, I love that there's a whole line of Safety First products. I started with getting one of their travel systems in that color specifically because I loved the color scheme, and had used Safety First baby products in the past. So when I found they had a bassinet as well, I was super excited. It's different that many of the other bedside style bassinets out there in that the legs have a rocker shape to them. So it's more like the classic cradle style bed for babies. It's deeper than a bedside style bassinet as well. I love this style and that they've gone with a more classic design rather than the modern bassinet that's shallower and with the drop down sides. Safety First has become an overall favorite of mine when it comes to baby/kids products. They have found a great way to blend both the classic looks with modern designs. It's hard to find anything about their products I don't love!
