BLACK+DECKER 20-Volt MAX* Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill, LD120CWM

My husband is a regular tool man, so I thought I would add this drill to his collection, especially since I know he likes getting new toys (tools!). Right out of the box, this Black and Decker drill comes with one standard bit, a wall charger and a 20-volt lithium battery. Charging was simply a matter of connecting the battery to the charger and plugging it in to the wall, and the battery was charged relatively quick. The battery was easy to place on the drill as well as remove it for charging. For me, the drill feels very comfortable in my hand and is fairly light, so this would definitely be a drill I would be comfortable using around the house. Pros: - This drill has an adjustable velocity – the more you press the button on the unit, the more power the drill invokes, providing a total of 22 levels of power. - The drill can reverse directions, so you can not only insert new screws into wood, drywall, etc., but you can remove screws as well, allowing it to function as an electric screwdriver. - The dial is used to choose the amount of torque you would like, achieved by turning the dial clockwise or counter-clockwise with higher numbers being a higher toque. - Also on the dial, you can align the positional arrow with the screw or the drill, depending on the function you need. Cons: - The plastic material (such as the top) of the drill lacks in quality, although the back portion of the handle is rubber which should provide a better grip, yet the hand tends to slip. - My husband feels that the drill is quite fragile, and if the unit were to fall on the floor once, that would likely be the end of the drill. Case in point: do not take this drill to your worksite! - The bit housing is very smooth plastic which makes it difficult to grab hold of it in order to change and tighten the bit for insertion or removal. Overall, the drill provides good “work potential”, and my husband would recommend this drill for every day home use, but not for heavy duty work use. The battery appears to offer a decent battery life given he used it all day Saturday and Sunday for light projects, and then left it on standby for several days without the battery discharging.

I bought this for my husband for Father's Day because my Brother-In-Law raved about it. He has two. Leaves one in his truck for use all the time. Seems like it never runs out of juice! Light to use compared to other battery tools. Big Box Home Improvement stores selling this for much more, this was a great deal!!!!
