touch pad door knob with remote

lock works fairly well. the lock came with a broken wire. the company immediately sent a replacement. the lock has a feature where it will relock within 10 seconds (that can be turned off) for some reason our lock sometimes relocks even though we have it set not to relock unless we lock it. the remote does not always work the first time, but works when used a second time. but actually, i am happy with it anyway. it takes large code numbers unlike the locks we previously had on the doors.

Good product however...........

I received the product in a timely manner from Walmart (actually early). The install was one of the easiest I have ever had when installing a exterior door lock. The instructions were very through and easy to comprehend. It took me about 30 minutes from start to finish. Programming both the key pad and the remote was extremely easy. Now the down sides and the only reason I couldn't give this Morning Industry electronic door lock a 5 star rating. The range for the remote is at best about 3 feet. Maybe because I have a storm door. And I wanted two remotes which I would imagine many people do. That was not an option so now I have to send for another through Amazon.com as Walmart does not carry the extra remote.

Unreliable! Must not be sold!

I purchased this deadknob from Smarthome. It worked fine for a few days until the deadknob started exhibiting issues whereby it cannot be unlocked from the first attempt. It takes 10-15 attempts before it fully unlocks. The problem got even worse as often I'm unable to unlock the deadknob using keypad at all, and am forced to use the key. This renders the use of this product completely impossible as per advertised feature set. All attempts to resolve this issue directly with the manufacturer have proven themselves useless. The manufacturer is not willing to exchange the faulty unit, and keeps blaming SmartHome.
