Great tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once you get this put together, it's great. The instructions that it came with are not the best, and it's kind of a guessing game on how it goes together. My dad has back and knee issues so this is a lifesaver with spring clean up outside, and can take out a lot of huge problem brush plants.

Good for small and light roots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my opinion, the Brush Grubber Heavy Duty (4Ft) tool is good for areas that are small and the roots are still developing as the tool provides a better performance in this scenario. The assembly of the tool was not difficulty, the material is resistant if at the right conditions. I would say that the tool is heavy duty for shallow and light rooting, and not for heavy duty tasks. I tried to remove a small bush with thicker and harder roots and I could feel that the tool was not being effective, as it required additional pressure that was not adequate for the tool. Overall, I think this is a great tool to remove the roots that are starting to overgrow and make the removal more convenient than using hands or heavier tools.

NOT HAPPY

The grubber works fine on small pines 3/4" to; 1 1/2", but is useless with any species with a tap root. And it is totally USELESS for what I bought it for .... blackberry bushes in my flower beds. I've had to pin the two sections of the long handle to keep them from unscrewing, and the perpendicular handle is on the wrong side. I'll keep it, but am not happy with it. Is there another product for smaller "grubbing"?
