We use 40 pound bags of pellets from the feed stor and usually we must throw all the pellets away with those broken down with urine. Now the cats move the powder formed after the pellets fall apart when wet - through the seive bottom of the top portion that just lifts out They also provide liners. We also have the model w/o the filter. Debries slides right off the steel. Very little cleaning is required. I will buy more for other rooms in the house.

Game changer. Pine pellets user for 30 years. Whether for kitty or whatever … they walk on the pellets and generally self sift. I use potty paper on the lower section. Not much pellets are needed and urine often goes through to the sifted level. Got another on for another location.
