Light weight, but durable, quality materials, easy cleaning, toddler just loves it so it must be comfortable as he takes long trips. I myself recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to have the opportunity to test the Safety 1st Grow and Go Booster through the Stellar Product Testing Panel for my tall (90th percentile) 6 year old. I will be the first to admit that I am very picky when it comes to car seat/booster safety. I haven't been happy with the booster we were using and have been on the look out for a better fit for our family. Straight out of the box, the Safety 1st Booster was easy to snap together and extend to fit my son, even before reading the instructions. My son was immediately excited about the padding on the booster and thought it felt “much more comfortable” than his previous booster. The plastic does feel somewhat thin and lightweight compared to other boosters, which I wasn't sure would feel substantial enough when installed. However, it was a breeze to install in my car and the slim profile fits nicely in my Subaru Outback, even with another convertible car seat next to it. The booster has many safety features that I look for for my kiddos to keep them secure and protected. I love the shoulder belt guide, which not only holds the shoulder belt at the appropriate level for his height but also makes it easy for my son to buckle himself in. The expandable backrest wings keep his head and neck protected and provide a place to rest his head if he falls asleep in the seat. Lastly, the lap belt is perfectly positioned over his legs, not over his belly like some boosters. He is 4' tall with room to expand the booster even taller, so I'm confident this will last us at least a couple more years as a high back booster (which is my top priority). The booster is surprisingly lightweight and compact for its safety features, and this will definitely be my top choice when traveling by plane. I would love to see some crash test ratings for the booster, but as a new product I don't believe they're available yet. I'd be happy to update my review once I see the crash test performance, but I feel confident in the safety the seat provides for my precious cargo!!
