I bought this 10,000 BTU PhiloDeco Energy Star Window Air Conditioner Unit, to help cool my house along with my other older window unit. This month, it was literally over $100 cheaper to run these 2 window units, than my central air conditioning that I usually ran! I had heard window units were less expensive to run and my electric bill proved it. My central air conditioning had been set at 77°- 78° for several years, trying to save money.... So, I set my older window unit at around 75° and my daughter set this new one on 70° and we are perfectly cooled! It surely blows cold air! There is even a remote included! I also really like the setting that moving the vent up and down automatically, it was a nice touch! I love this! I am really surprised at how quiet it is! The noise level is impressive! Having an inverter really keeps it quiet! I didn’t know about that until I was looking for a new one! Yea for new technology! (Not like my old one that noticeably thermostats the compressor off and on and even dims the light when it does.) But not this new one, it is really quiet! Even when I am outside, I can barely hear it running!' My only regret is not getting more than one when they were on sale for around $280, in Sept 2025. Last I checked they are almost $400 in Oct 2025. Maybe they will go on sale again and I can get another one...I will be watching. Yes, I would highly recommend this air conditioner!
