Perhaps acceptable for pre-schoolers to age 6.

A fair retelling, animated versoin of the story of the Nutcracker. However, there was only one musical excerpt from the Ballet - March of the Toy Soldiers - just a few measures of it played a few times. None of the other well known musical pieces nor dances were featured.

Don't waste your money

Bought for my 3 year old granddaughter because she loves the story of the Nutcracker and the music. Barely resembles the story. Brother Fritz is worse than an ornery little boy, obnoxious to people, and the soldiers fighting not for a 3 year old. Just was real disappointed and actually stopped it barely halfway in. Don't waste your money. Other wonderful versions out there.
