Nice gate.
Be sure you can close your door and access the door knob prior to cutting that last cord. Also the kitty door has a closable latch on front and back so that is nice. The doors do work well opening both in and out and you can do left facing or right facing as needed. It also comes with two extenders, but I didn't use them. My adult cats aren't able to fit through the bars, was wondering if they would, so that was nice. But kittens will be able to, so be advised. My 3 cats Are studying the gate for a way over I think. We shall see. LOL. The dogs are just dumbfounded by it and lay on the floor outside peering in.
