The Pond Guy Aquatic Planting Soil is nutrient-rich and suitable for lilies, lotus, and other aquatic plants. It’s all-natural, non-toxic, and safe for marine life and wildlife. Free of compost and peat moss, this fine-grained soil won’t float or cloud pond water. The heavy-loam blend is ready to use straight out of the bag or mixed with mineral-based planting media. We recommend using a 75/25 mix of The Pond Guy Aquatic Planting Soli and The Pond Guy Aquatic Planting Media (sold separately).

Place the aquatic plant in the container and cover the roots with soil. Place planting media over the soil (also called dirt, silt, or loam) to prevent soil from washing out of your planter or pot. Media is all natural and mineral based, with the feel of small rocks, stones, or gravel, and the coloring of sand or clay. Ideal for use in freshwater ponds in a potting tub, container, bucket, or plant bag. Aquatic soil is perfect for all water garden and koi pond plants and flowers, including water lilies, water lotus, marginal plants, submerged plants, bog planting areas, and aquatic plant containers, pots, planters, or bags.
