The Energy Top Plus Damper is born from American Ingenuity. To begin with it has the tightest seal of any damper in the industry made of soft compressible rubber like the gasket on a refrigerator door. This damper lid truly closes unlike other top sealing dampers that often have a corner that remains slightly open. The seal alone will save hundreds on the utility bill and often pays for itself within the first couple of years. It replaces leaky fireplace throat dampers creating an energy efficient damper that seals in air conditioning and furnace heat.
