Walmart takes your money not responsibility

I was advised to write a review by Walmart Customer Service as my problem involved a 3rd party seller. I purchased a 3-pack of Colgin All Natural Liquid Hickory Smoke. On the plastic protective wrap around the top, it states "Best By 12/09/22". The product was sent out 12/06/22 and received 12/09/22. The 3rd party seller, Pekkstore USA, should not have sent these items to fulfill my order as the "Best By" date and Received date were the same. I am not pleased with Walmart either as they should bear more responsibility for clear quality/expiration date issues other than advising me to "bring the items into your local Walmart to get a refund" and further advising me to buy items which are fulfilled by Walmart (rather than 3rd party sellers). Seeing that I purchased the item on Walmart's website and paid for it with my drive up and go order, 1) how is a regular person supposed to know (or even care about) who fulfills the request? I ordered on Walmart's website along with my normal grocery pick-up. That in itself suggests Walmart is responsible. 2) as this was ordered with a drive up and go order, the customer should have a way to return items through drive up and go. The reason I use this service is to avoid having to go inside a store. All in all, I am disappointed with Walmart's lack of involvement in this clear quality/expiration date issue and , instead, solely advising me to post a review and go inside a store to get a refund.
