It was dirty. There were little particles all over the shelves and the tubes. When I moved the actual shelves themselves, I could hear pieces of plastic moving inside the shelves. I assembled it, cleaned it, and it works well. But the dirt or dust and the moving pieces were odd.

Nice shelves; but be mindful of assy instructions!

Assembly instructions could use some editing.....be careful not to assemble the tubes backwards like I did originally. Or maybe they could change the design some way so the tubes only get assembled one way! Once it's assembled backwards, it was pretty hard to disassemble without breaking or cracking the tubes and/or shelves!!

Only get this unless you have to have these exact dimensions. I ordered and it kept getting delayed so I ordered again and not able to cancel the 1st order I resigned would have to return one. The 2nd one arrived and not in a box but a thicker plastic bag type like toilet paper comes in. 4 out of 5 shelves were cracked because FedEx is FedEx. Fortunately they finally shipped the 1st one. It came in. Heavy duty shipping box. My husband assembled and one shelf was warped but he put it on bottom, shimmed it up and anchored it to the wall. Needless to say I do not recommend this brand especially if have to ship. I read the reviews and tried it anyway.
