This island turned out really nice. There is adequate storage space and the fold up/down extension gives plenty of room for preparing or eating meals. The stainless steel top is beautiful and easy to clean. I love it and I'm really happy I got it for my kitchen. The only 2 negative things I can say are about the assembly and the plug in. The parts and hardware all come numbered and the directions were pretty easy to follow. Definitely try to have 2 people putting it together though because by myself took about 5 hours. The outlet is great if you have it against the wall. If not, there will be an extra cord running across the floor to make the outlet serviceable. To me, that defeats the purpose. Like I said though, it's a great addition to my kitchen. Looks great and has held up so far with my 4 boys.

Lot's of parts and pieces to put together, but aren't they all. Take film off of stainless steel before screwing down. It is a lovely piece and much more sturdy than I thought it would be. The price was very good. We use as a stain to eat and hang around. We use for all purpose spices, oils, dish towels, oven mitts, crock pot, rice cooker and large food processor. Instill have room after all that. Ye replaced our L shape part of our cabinets with it and it is perfect.
