The following towns are featured: an extension of Far Western Texas is shown in the margin. Areas of the Indian Territory include the Cherokee Country, Creek Country, Kiowa Comanche & Apachy Country, Chickasaw Nation, and Choctaw Nation. Most of Texas is similar to present day, witht he exception of El Paso, Pecos, Tom Greene, and the Territory of Bexar. Shadings are present for larger mountain ranges and hills. The State and Indian Territory are in their present shape, when this map was done in 1879.
