We have an older house that has been retro fitted with AC, duct work, etc. It works great for our family, but when we have a lot of people over, or the weather is especially hot, some of the rooms upstairs can get hot. This is perfect for putting up there and having it vented out one of the smaller windows, and keeping the upstairs cool. Turn it on when you need it, leave it off when you don't. It's been great.
