Easton Extended Batting Helmet Jaw Guard

Yes it has the cool factor my 13 year old likes. Yes it is fairly easy to mount on the Z5 helmets. Yes I hope he never gets hit anywhere in the head region but two years ago he started using the batters elbow guards and twice he's been plunked hard on the guard. Getting hit by a wild pitch is not a matter of if but when. I mention the guard installs fairly easy because the middle hole didn't line up perfectly on the first try. Lightly tighten each screw systematically until all are snug. This will allow for the tiny bit of play between holes that may be needed in order to get all three fastened accordingly.

Fits perfectly on my son's Z5 Helmet and looks good too. Contrary to the description it is also a perfect fit for the Z5 1.0 helmet, the older version of the Z5. Son loves it and it is more protective than a regular helmet. Just a matter of time until these are all standard issue for youth baseball players.
