Ozark Trail Men's Straw Hat,Blue

This straw hat has become my go-to any time I'm outside for more than a few minutes. It's lightweight, breathable, and does a great job keeping the sun off my face, ears, and neck. I really like the natural color — it goes with just about anything and doesn't show dirt easily, even after wearing it for yard work, fishing, and a couple of days at the lake. The fit is comfortable and secure. It sits well on my head without feeling tight, and the inner band helps it stay in place even when there's a bit of wind. I also appreciate that it doesn't feel heavy or hot like some other hats I've tried; there's good airflow so I'm not sweating as much. Overall, it feels well made for the price. The straw is sturdy but not stiff, and it hasn't started fraying or losing shape even after being tossed in the truck and worn a bunch of times. If you're looking for an affordable hat for sun protection that you can wear for outdoor work, hiking, or just relaxing outside, this one is definitely worth it.

I got lucky. This hat fit my head perfectly. My head is 22 inches around 1 inch above the forehead. The opening in the hat for the head is 9 inches from back to front and 7 inches from ear to ear. The brim (shading flap) extends 4 inches out all the way around. I've worn this hat for about a month in central Florida and really appreciate the '1-inch wide air vents' that are located 2 inches above the bottom of the 'crown' of the hat. I also like that the cord lock is one solid piece of polished wood. My previous straw hat had a two piece plastic cord lock that eventually broke into separate pieces. I don't think I could have bought a better straw hat for the price!
