Very powerful vacuum that has a suction power that doesn't just clean up pet dander but all types of dirt and dust particles on the thickest carpets and hardest floors. I've been using the dirt devil brand of vacuums for decades and this vacuum is the best one I have used yet. The pet extension is very convenient and helpful and hard to reach places, especially for a large shedding dog.

The reviews were true. Vacuums well. Picks up very fine dust particles that my other machine didn't. Feels sturdy. CAUTION: What found that the 1st step of using two screws to attach the handle to the body is VERY IMPORTANT. As you do this step, make sure the canister is also attached at the same time. Hold the handle towards the canister to get a tight fit, then tighten the screws. If you don't do this, when you attach the canister, the red locking clip is a little too far away from the handle. It becomes hard to get it to snap in place. (After all these are plastic parts and there is a little give). Also, I find it helpful to hold the back of the handle and supporting it with one hand while pushing the canister with the other hand to hear that click that says it is firmly attached. Performance wise, worth the price!
