Organic Black Rice, 1 Pound — Whole Grain Non-GMO Rice, Kosher, Vegan

This rice has more protein than most kinds of rice, and though it's a little too expensive to be a regular staple, I plan to buy this again just to add to the variety of my diet and an additional source of protein since I'm a pescaterian (fish and eggs, but no meat). It has a bit of a nutty taste and great with stir-fry. As the instructions say, you need to rinse it thoroughly and if you soak it beforehand the cooking time will decrease. Otherwise, it takes longer to cook. Also, it needs more rice-water ratio than most rices. The package came quickly and was nicely sealed. I really enjoyed trying a different kind of rice. It's also called forbidden rice because only the royalty in Asia were allowed to have it
