It is real cedarwood! I like the pexi-glass type windows. It is quite roomy inside. We built ours on top of a quality wood pallet, hence it's super sturdy, so I cannot speak to it being just placed on the ground. Lastly, the window does shut at times on it's own, but that's not the biggest of deals.

Screws versus nut and bolts.

Assembly is going fine. The part numbering and identification could be better if each piece were to be marked with a label instead of the "heat stamp" on the ends. (nothing indicated on instructions where to locate the item number). It was like "seek and find" the item and the correct part number. Once that was figured out, assembly went smoothly. Also, for the poly panels; there were no instructions of which way the poly panels face?? (White side out or in).
