My allergist told me it was the alcohol content. He told me to switch to a nose spray containing Budesonide. It has no after taste and relieves my allergy issues. Works great to minimize post nasal drip and regular nasal symptoms from allergies. It's a little pricey and doesn't last very long compared to other nasal sprays. I don't notice any taste in the back of my throat whatsoever so that's a plus. Definitely recommend!

THE BEST for allergies AND colds
The other bigger, cheaper spray (generic Flonase) is AWFUL. It's like spraying daffodil pollin up your nose! Yeah it's cheaper, but there is absolutely no comparison. Rhinocort (and this generic) actual WORKS and has NO SCENT AT ALL - YEA! : ) Gosh I wish this existed when I was a kid and suffered daily.
