Rum & Fun

Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum was my first time trying this type of rum, and I wasn't sure what to expect. On its own, it was quite strong for my taste. I enjoyed it much more when mixed with ginger ale—it was smooth and really delicious. However, when I mixed it with Coke, I didn't enjoy it as much, even though I know that's a more popular pairing.

Strong, spicy, and perfect for cocktails that need

This is not for the faint of heart, but if you like your rum bold and spicy, it's perfect. It mixes well in strong cocktails and punches, and it definitely kicks harder than the regular Captain. Smooth enough for shots if you're feeling brave, but I usually use it to bring extra heat to spiced rum and Coke or tiki-style drinks.

Taste like summer

A good staple spiced rum! It has the perfect flavor, taste, and alch % to make a unique mojito (one of my favorites to make since collage) and the smell isn't overpowering of just spice and alcohol - which can sometimes happen with rum. Mixes well with just about everything - from lemonade to iced tea to ginger beer to the classic rum & coke!
