This is a larger capacity hummer feeder. The large circumference base makes the product more stable, preventing spillage if you have other larger nectar feeders (we have orioles %26 red-bellied woodpeckers that visit our feeders too). It can be a little difficult to open when first purchased but soon loosens ip a bit for easier opening %26 cleaning. Our birds LOVE them!
