My favorite offroad tire with a huge surprise on road!

I have been running the Open County MT's for years on my jeeps and are by far my favorite tire for off roading/overlanding. To me this compound is perfect for my style of driving. It has good grip for rock crawling, and a great tread for mud or snow. The biggest SURPRISE is how quiet they are on road compared to other aggressive tread tires. I was forced to buy some trail grappler's during the pandemic due to availability that were so loud on the pavement (ear piercing) I had to sell them and went back to my Toyo's. For a aggressive tread with a softer compound they wear surprisingly well in my opinion. Of course they will not wear the same as a high mileage road tire but We do a lot of road driving across the country and year round this is one of our daily drivers, these tires last longer than I originally expected 3-4 years. Great tire for off roading or overlanding.

Amazing Tires

I've purchased two sets of these tires now. The previous set was on my truck for 12 years and made two cross-country road trips, towed, mudded, played in the snow, and ran light trails and rocks. Tread was still excellent but some dry rot had finally started to appear on the sidewalls after so many years. That was the only reason I finally had to get new ones - and a 12 year life really impressed me. Also, three of those years, the truck sat at my mechanic's waiting on engine work. I expected the tires to be horribly flat-spotted - they were not flat-spotted whatsoever. Incredible! They provide great grip off-road and are well-mannered on the road. They wear evenly, handle well, and aren't terribly loud but still have a nice steady hum that lets you know they're coming ;) I looked at other tires when the time came, because so many years had passed, and I wanted to make sure I made the best purchase for something so expensive. None of the reviews came close to the well-rounded performance the Toyota Open Country M/Ts deliver. I thought - why take a risk on something new when I'm 100% happy with these? So hopefully I'll be running these new ones for at least another decade! Thanks, Toyo!!

Best M/T money can buy.

I have these on 2017 f-250 powerstroke fx4 2.5 inch front end level to fit 37x12.50r20. My truck is a daily driver I use my truck for everything from pulling my 16ft trailer to pulling dump trailers. And what ever else I need to do to get done. These tires have performed above my expectations on every front. I never need 4wd when it snows deepest I've dealt with it 10 inches. I was doing some dirt work and had a dump trailer hooked up and went into some mud and immediately sank up to rims in mud. Locked the truck to 4HI and these tires walked the dog right out of the hole with no problems. I was absolutely amazed at how well they did. My truck will always have a set of open country m/t on it as long as I can buy them. I have 40,000 miles on the ones on the back of the truck and still have 3/8 tread left. The only thing that is not great is the price. They are expensive but I feel like I'm getting a quality tire I don't have to worry about.
