Fantastic tree topping and trimming saw

I bought this chainsaw basically because I was tired of hauling my big gas saw up and down ladders to cut limbs out of my trees. I had my doubts about an electric saw being powerful enough to cut the size and hardness (density) of the medium sized limbs. It had more than adequate power to trim my hard wood trees. It even cut the larger limbs the same if not better than my big Echo forestry saw. I cut limbs smaller than a finger to about 8 inches. It did the job on hardwood trees better than a gas saw of the same size. I would say as long as you don't overheat the electric motor you could cut bigger all day long.

Lightweight easy to use

Being electric there is no pull-string starter therefore easier on older people. Strong enough for those small limbs too big to cut with regular cutter or clippers.

Looking for way to cut up a big limb down in yard

My gas chain saw is 30 years old, is tough to come up with parts, and doesn't start the way it used to. At 80+ years old I didn't want to spend the money for a new one . While I am not a big fan of dragging a cord around I had a large limb come down after Matthew. It was with some reluctance that I ordered an electric chain saw. The saw arrived as ordered and as scheduled. I filled it the bar tank with oil, plugged it into a standard 100 foot outdoor cord, and to my surprise it cut though that 8" limb in nothing flat. I don't know how easy it would be to work in the air off a ladder, but I don't do it that way anymore.
