This is an reenactment of a potentially catastrophic event during the cold war with Russia. The movie remines us how cool heads with sound reasoning can liberate us from paralyzing fear and anger. JFK, fortunately had an adviser who let Khrushchev "save face" by letting the USA withdraw missles from Turkey in exchange for Russia withdrawing missles from Cuba.

Excellent!

Everyone should watch this movie. JFK saved our country one year before he was assasinated! How close we came to being destroyed by a nuclear missle from Cuba! I was only six years old when this happened and can only imagine how frightened my parents and all Americans were that we would be attacked and killed. Young people need to watch this movie. My young married children have watched it and watched it again. Excellent movie about America's history.
