present a Christmas Amish romance
with lots of surprises in store…

Wesley is so busy running his family’s Amish market at the holidays, he barely has time for Liesl, the young woman he’s been courting for years. When she suggests her aunt Jenny could help Wesley out, he agrees to the plan. But Liesl neglected to mention her aunt is only twenty-six years old—and as charming as she is hard-working.

Jenny, still healing after a painful breakup, welcomes the distraction of working at the market. She soon realizes Wesley is everything she ever dreamed a man could be. But how can Jenny even think about romance with the man Liesl expects to marry?

But Liesl’s own feelings are more complicated than she’s willing to admit. With humor, faith, and a little help from their friends in the community, everyone might just find what their hearts are looking for this Christmas at the Amish market.

Christian at the Amish Market

This was a really cute story, with just enough drama to be interesting. Sometimes with romances, I want to shake some sense into the heroine but not in this book. the heroines (there are two love stories taking place here) is not oblivious but is smart, savvy and has a jigh moral code of ethics. and, best of all is the happy ending for both couples after some teists and turns. A good, fast-moving read.

The reason for the season

Getting ready for Christmas is always a busy time of year but more so for Wesley. His dad is away recovering from heart issues and Wes is carrying the full load of handling their family store during December. His dad has high expectations and communicates with his son on a regular basis. Wes is stressed and having very little time for himself until his girlfriend Liesl suggests getting her Aunt Jenny to visit and help out at the store. Liesl has become friends with a widower with a four year old daughter. She visits them several times a week much to her parents chagrin. Are these two ladies at cross purposes? Is Wesley “barking up the wrong tree?” Getting to know these characters was interesting to say the least. I first thought Liesl was an immature, selfish and self absorbed woman. Wesley was centrally focused on the store alone making me think of the old adage “all work and no play”….. What will it take to shake these characters into seeking the will and purpose of God? For me it was an enjoyable passage of time and a lesson even for me of the busyness of the season. Slow down, take a deep breath and remember whose birthday it is! I received a complimentary ebook copy of this book from the publisher but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.

Wonderful book

Thank you Shelly for allowing me to be on the Launch team for your upcoming Christmas book, Christmas at the Amish market. Wesley and Liesl had been dating for years, but for some reason Wesley could not seem to ask her to marry him. He was always much too busy running his family's market especially during the holidays. When Wesley‘s father had a heart attack and he had to take over the business while his dad healed, liesl suggested that her aunt Jenny could come and help Wesley out at the market. Wesley had no idea that Jenny was young, he just assumed that she was an older lady. Boy was that a surprise. As always Shelley was able to tie the whole well-written story together with humor, faith in God, and love. Don't miss the opportunity to read this beautiful 5-star story. All opinions are mine and I was not required to give a positive review.
