This bed looks exactly as shown, and is pretty easy to assemble. The package was kind of heavy for me (66 year old woman), so I had to open it and carry the parts upstairs in a couple of trips. If you are wondering whether to buy this, BUY IT!!! 5 Stars all the way around. No surprises, just a solid platform bed.
