This brewer makes an excellent cup of coffee. It is actually better than the manual pour-over cups I used to make. Hot water stays in contact with the grounds for about 4 minutes which makes for excellent extraction. I believe the secret is the tiny hole at the bottom of the filter basket which slows the drip. Hufford packs the box very well. It is double-boxed inside a larger box. Nothing comes bent or broken. This is an excellent purchase that should provide great coffee for years if my experience with TechniVorm holds true.

If you are considering a pod brewer, buy this instead. You can buy premium coffee for less money than pods. It delivers on its promise of proper time and temperature for best brewing, plus you can adjust the strength to suit your taste. The only drawback is that I have to order filters because I can't find this size in stores.
