Solar cover pulled so much heat it burnt our grass

After sadly ordering a less expensive cover and quickly realizing it was way too thin and light weight for our needs and weather bc the wind would blow it easily. I then ordered this one. It is a lot heavier so can’t be blown away or to one side of pool. Quality is great. Fits our 18 x 48 round pool perfectly. I can get it on and off pool alone if needed but easier with help. You can cut it in half if needed. It heats our pool water so much faster especially trying to start our summer in the pool asap without freezing. We bought the thermometer as well so we could see how much it raised the temp and it was at least 10 degrees within 3 days. It’s hard to handle alone if trying to fold it neatly so I took it off the deck and laid it flat on the ground,left it for 3 mins to dry and when I moved it the grass was burnt in a complete circle like a space ship had landed. That is how much heat it drew in 3 mins. I will leave a picture of grass below to show just how much heat this will bring to your pool water. We also enjoy not having debris from trees in our pool anymore from using this cover. Even though I ordered the same size as our pool we have much more than needed which is great so we could fasten it down like a winter cover if we wanted or as of now we fold it down and inwards of the pool all the way around which makes it a little heavier on the edges to help keep debris out.

Great buy!

I'm very impressed with this cover so far. We've had it about a month and purchased in April. It was easy to handle, very light weight. We did as instructed, laying it out over pool for a few days then cut it to fit. We bought a size up with 2 feet each way addition to cover our steps area. It was more than sufficient and easy to cut. I'm impressed that it stays in place so well. We have pretty strong winds on the top of the hill and this has never tried to blow away. It definitely heats up the pool given enough sunshine. Temps read 71° after an April rain shower and with three days of sunshine it was up to 79. We have a 16 x 32, 6 foot depth pool though. We have also enjoyed it keeping the pool a little cleaner during pollen season. We lifted the cover off, laid it on our driveway and hosed it down to remove pollen and dirt. I have not stored it yet so don't know how long it will last stored up but at this price I would buy a new one each year to enjoy my pool four months more a year.

Perfect Solar cover

This works really well. The pool stays warm and clean, at 80-90 degrees, perfect. The cover is made really well, not from cheap or flimsy material. Pretty sturdy so it doesn't get trapped in the water or floats away. It's easy to slide along the pool. If you pull one side the other side pulls right along with it as you're sliding the over on or off across the pool. Can most definitely be a one person job, and that's great.
