I searched far and wide for a pretty parrotlet cage that also has durable, functional features (rolling stand, seed catcher, large locking door). This one checked all the boxes. The instructions aren't the greatest, but my husband and I worked together and had it assembled in about an hour. I took a chance on the ""Platinum"" color, since I couldn't find a picture of the cage in that color anywhere online. It turned out to be a nice color. Not as much brown speckling as the little swatch shows. More silver in overall appearance. It has a few quirks: 1) The play doors at the top don't open very easily or straight (which I can deal with since I don't plan to open them much, if at all). 2) The seed catcher pops out of place at the corners, which is frustrating. Every time I get one side to pop in, the other comes undone. If I can't figure out how to tack it down in the next week, I'll probably end up removing the seed catcher, which is a shame. 3) The wheels also could be better. They don't roll smoothly or easily in all 4 directions. I'll most likely look for better-moving ones that fit the holes. The ones shown in the product pic look like they have nice metal parts, but mine are all plastic. I was pretty disappointed in that. Overall, this cage is far sturdier than other flimsy cages I've seen at the store, and it seems like it will last a long time. It's spacious enough for all the toys and perches I wanted to use, and I'm excited to see how the bird likes it when he arrives.
