These fittings may be used to connect an air compressor to a backflow preventer valve (a.k.a. pressure vacuum breaker) for winterization purpose, or wherever industrial style plug to female SAE 45° flare fittings are needed. Packaging is reusable. A generalized procedure to winterize backflow preventer using compressed air is provided on the packaging.
- Package contains:
- Industrial Style Plug to 3/16" Female SAE 45° Flare Fittings
- Industrial Style Plug to 1/4" Female SAE 45° Flare Fittings
- Industrial Style Plug to 5/16" Female SAE 45° Flare Fittings
- Industrial Style Plug to 3/8" Female SAE 45° Flare Fittings
- Note: Backflow preventers typically have either male SAE 45° Flare or female NPT connections (see image). The fittings in this package will fit male SAE 45° Flare connection only. They will not fit female NPT connection. Please check your backflow preventer before purchasing.
- For your health and safety, this brass fitting is made of lead-free brass which contains less than 0.25% lead. Lead-free brass costs about 30% more to manufacture than regular brass. Lead-free brass is also harder, stronger, and more durable than regular leaded brass. Always wear safety goggles when handling or using compressed air.
- This heavy duty winterization tool is machined from a solid lead-free brass casting. If you are looking for a quality tool that lasts a lifetime, this one is for you!
