Two-time Oscar-winner Meryl Streep steps into the role of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in this biopic from director Phyllida Lloyd (MAMMA MIA!), and screenwriter Abi Morgan (TSUNAMI: THE AFTERMATH, BRICK LANE). Lloyd depicts the elderly Dame Thatcher replaying key moments in her life, graduating from Oxford to meeting Denis Thatcher (Denis Lloyd) to becoming Britain’s first prime minister. Her life at number 10 Downing Street see’s Thatcher closing mines, dodging IRA hits, overseeing a war and building alliances with Airey Neave and Geoffrey Howe. This biopic is an uneasy combination of admiration for her leadership qualities and disappointment in her interpersonal skills. Cast include TYRANNOSAUR'S Olivia Colman, Oscar winning Jim Broadbent, with Richard E. Grant, and Anthony Head co-starring.
