These pods produce espresso most closely resembling that which you get from a chain coffee shop, unlike the more coffee-water ones of the discount variety, and the “almost but not quite” of the larger name brands. For sure, the Nespresso branded pods are a little different tasting than these, but they are what they claim to be, Starbucks espresso from a pod, nothing more, nothing less. Very consistent brew from aluminum capsules. Always has a good crema and smells like it should. A colleague had a shot once that he said was undrinkable, but no other pods from that box had issues, so I will chalk it up to bad luck only.
