I gave this chair a low rating because there are a few things that should be changed to make it safer. First off it slides behind you every time you put pressure on it. The feet are very slippery and if it's on bare floor, you need to be careful or it'll slide right out from underneath you. I don't know if carpet will be firmer with it. There's nothing to grab onto when you're trying to push yourself up or sit down. The arms are very soft and well cushioned but there's nothing there to sink your fingers into. The seat is rounded in the front so when you sit down or when you wanna stand up, you can easily just slide right off. It would be so much better if it was shaped like a chair with a square edge. Each of these flaws, make the chair risky for elderly people who are maybe weak or just need the extra design help that isn't offered in this chair.
