Bring It On (2000 Film)

In Universal Pictures' and Beacon Pictures' Bring It On, two cheerleading squads from rival sides of the tracks are butting heads and busting moves to see that nothing stands in their way from making it to the top. Torrance Shipman (Kirsten Dunst) is on top of the world when she is named captain of the Rancho Carne High pep squad. As she prepares to lead her squad to their sixth consecutive national championship title, the dream becomes a nightmare. She discovers that her squad's impressive cheer routines, honed to perfection for the contest, were stolen. The Clovers, led by their captain, Isis (Gabrielle Union), are competing in the nationals for the first time, and are not about to let the Toros off easy. With time running out, and the pressure mounting, Torrance must act quickly to save the Toros' reputation, and their national title, as they head off to a contest they will never forget. Bring It On features a talented ensemble of up-and-coming young actors, including Clair Kramer, Nicole Bilderback (Can't Hardly Wait), Tsianina Joelson (MTV's 'The Daily Burn'), Rini Bell and Nathan West (Mighty Ducks 2). The members of Blaque are also featured actors in the movie. 'As If,' the lead track from the album is performed by platinum-selling Blaque. 'As If' was written by Guy Roche and Shelly Peiken and produced by Guy Roche. This same team was responsible for Christina Aguilera's smash hit 'What A Girl Wants.' The album contains three tracks by platinum-selling artists Blaque and a host of up-and-coming pop acts, including a cover version of Toni Basil's 1982 number #1 song 'Mickey' performed by B*Witched.
