(In fact, he helped to compile this release.) Taken from his classic country & western pictures such as 'Springtime in the Rockies' 'Twilight On The Rio Grande,' 'Ridin' On A Rainbow' and others, this CD represents many of Autry's finest musical moments on the silver screen.
Fans of Autry's movie career will recall such hit songs as, 'Blue Canadian Rockies,' 'Mexicali Rose', and 'South of the Border (Down Mexico Way).' Autry's ability to serenade audiences for decades with his honest, good-natured personality and his smooth campfire singing style, is apparent on all eighteen tracks. Moreover, duets with long time sidekick, Smiley Burnette, as well as performances with Pat Buttram, Mary Lee and the Cass County Boys make this survey of Autry's film singing career all the more welcoming and endearing.
