Insullite is a fire retardant cover designed to allow the installer to insulatesafely and effectively around recessed lights. Research has shown that withoutproper insulation areas around recessed lights can allow a large amount ofheat energy to enter/escape from a building. However insulation placed tooclose to lights can also be a fire hazard. When installed Insullite allowsinsulation to be placed as close to the light or heat producing fixture aspossible without the risk of fire.
