Verkundigung Op. 50 Annunciation

Many vinyl records are invaluable documents of their time. No series shows this as clearly as the Cologne recordings in the enthusiastically received Electrola Collection, now newly-named the Cologne Collection. It's mystical atmosphere, it's hymnal choruses, and the colorful orchestral sound, Walter Braunfels' Die Verkundigung (The Annunciation) is one of the composer's most important mature works.
