Biotene is a product that I've seen in commercials and in stores for a few years but never used or had a desire to use. I never quite understood its true purpose. My thoughts have always been, if you have a dry mouth, drink water. Well, I'm a bit older and have now found that no matter how much water I drink, by late evening my mouth is pretty dry (I'm a financial advisor so I talk all day for a living). Not because I'm thirsty buy just dry and Bioyene has help tremendously. After picking up Biotene to try for my dry mouth issues, I was skeptical as to what it will actually do from me, how often I needed to use it to see results and of it would taste too strong. I tried it, in the evening during a time when my mouth feels the driest. My first impression was that it didnt burn and it wasn't like a flouride wash. As I swished the liquid around my mouth, I noticed a gentle cooling feeling. Not cold, or overly minty, but more like refreshing without an overwhelming mint sting. To my surprise, my mouth felt comfortable. So, my goal was to use the Biotene 5 days in a row to really se the overall affects of the product. I wanted to ensure I wasn't using ing it when I brushed my teeth, but only when I had dry mouth because I didn't want the mint from the tooth paste to affect the feeling I needed to experience from the Biotene. While the instructions recommend that you use the product a few times a day, I found that using the Biotene, right when my mouth felt the driest was most beneficial. Now that I've tried the product I can't imagine not making it a staple product in my home. I must say, I'm impressed by a product I probably would have never tried otherwise.
