Both cats love it. It took them a couple of minutes to learn to drink from the streams and not the bowl (getting wet), but now they seem very happy with the aerated water. I have a cat who always moves his water bowls around, spilling them in the process. Cat experts say this is because some cats don't like water that has been sitting in a bowl for too long. They are trying to aerate it, so it tastes better. I guess this is true because my cat does not try to move this bowl around at all. He just walks up and drinks. The water level indicator light is a smart design for avoiding running the motor dry. This is my second aerated cat waterer. All of them need to be cleaned sometimes for health and to keep working right. Instructions say how to clean it. Mine is on a tile floor. I would not put this on a wood or laminate floor without a mat because when the cats drink, it splashes a little. That seems unavoidable to me.
