My favorite 6" / 150mm angle grinder. Great power & light. A little more forward balanced than I'd like, equals out well w/ the weight of the 4.0AH 36V battery. Would love for Metabo HPT North America to offer Carat Tools Tuck Point Guard in-house. (Koki Holdings Co. owns both Metabo HPT & Carat Tools.) Would really like to have the added safety features & a wider array of accessories. We're just trying to get the job done. Thanks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very excited to get my hands on this new 36V MultiVolt Cordless Brushless Grinder!!! I have to say it was the worth the wait. Inside the box is the grinder body, an awesome screw in handle, an arbor wrench, and an awesome widemouth tool bag that has plenty of room for the tool and accessories. Has a nice dual grab handle, shoulder strap, 2 interior pockets, and several exterior pockets. Ergonomically this is a sleek design. The grip is slim and has a safety paddle type switch that really saves forearm strain by not having a thumb activated rocker switch. Most of the time I'm using this tool with one hand so that's a big bonus. It fires up smooth with minimal recoil when the switch is engaged and has a nice braking system when the switch is disengaged. That's a nice safety feature that saves me time and fatigue. . The accessory handle screws into the head for big jobs that require 2 hands. An awesome feature is the 3rd top handle position vs the standard left or right handle option. I do a lot of cutting of various materials with grinders and this is an awesome feature for me. My favorite feature is the tool-less guard rotation with positive stops!!! It's awesome for switching positions and tasks in a matter of seconds. Another feature that saves me time. The tool has a 1-6 manual speed dial feature to let you set it in the sweet spot for whatever you're doing. Or you can select the Auto feature and it'll give you the right amount of power as needed. This will save battery life. Another great feature is the dual led lights on the head of the unit putting light right where you need it. You can select the manual light feature, or leave it on auto and it will light up when you engage the tool and then shutoff when you disengage the tool. I've been waiting for a 6” grinder specifically for the extra cutting depth over a 4” or a 4-1/2” grinder. It speeds up cutting because now I don't to roll materials over in order to cut all the way through them. Again this saves me time and makes tasks a bit safer. I ran the tool easily 1 handed with a 2.5 AH battery and the 4.0 AH battery is perfect for bigger jobs. Overall I'm thrilled with this tool and I'm happy to add to my collection of Metabo HPT lineup for the 2023 deck building season. Way to go Metabo HPT 🤘
