Bad batch ????

Opened bag & grabbed a small handful to eat. 1st couple of bites, I smelled a perfume-like smell & tasted weird plus it affected my nostrils-like was opening it up. Strange feeling. Supposedly they sell a lot of these almonds and maybe I got an old batch??? I was sent an address label to return and received my refund.

Not as expected...

Must have received a bad batch because many of the almonds tasted incredibly bitter. Purchased two bags and same problem with both. Have since switched brands. The almonds also do not sprout.
