Originally released on the band's own label in 1995, this marks the first over the counter appearance of their earliest demos, accurately described in the liner notes as "infamous, timeless, and mildly painful recordings" made by musicians "a mere 16 years old, and still wanting, very badly, to be Primus, Mr. Bungle, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers all rolled into one." That bit of self-deprecation aside, the songs here (although obviously not as polished as on the band's later studio albums) nonetheless demonstrate that Incubus were already ferociously accomplished musicians at this stage, and that their merger of metal and turntable techniques was fully formed from day one.
