TCL 5,000 BTU White Mechanical Window Air Conditioner

The TCL 5000 BTU White Mechanical Window Air Conditioner,it cools up to One Hundred Square Foot room,this air conditioner comes with the mounting kit,which includes the Air Conditioner,Top rail,Two filler panels,One Sash Lock,Two Lock Frames,Four Three Eighths inch Screws,Three Half inch Screws,Four Three Quarter inch Screws,One Window Sash,One Foam Top,Window Gasket.This unit is Fifteen and a Quarter inches Deep,Sixteen inches wide by Twelve and a half inches Tall.This unit is made to fit inside a standard double hung window between the sizes of Twenty Three inches and Thirty Six inches,but must allow for Fourteen point Five inches of Vertical Clearance when open.We tested this unit according to the little manual and it's instructions,set the temperature to the Max Cool,Seven,and after Three minutes the Air Conditioner should be blowing cool air,Which it was,in fact it got cold,if not then there is some Troubleshooting in the manual.This is going to be a Air Conditioner just for my Pantry and it is a Twelve foot by Twelve foot room so i know that it will be good for that. We will not be able to insert it for a few more days it is still a little for that.I am very happy with this request it is perfect for my needs.

I got this for use in a 22 inch window in a 10'x11' room (110 sqft). I've had window units before but have never had to install one. The instructions were helpful with diagrams and the unit was fairly easy to install since it's light-weight. The unit is a good size for that window but it can not be installed with both accordion-style 'filler panels' on the sides. I used a filler panel on one side and, since we have not yet reached summer temperatures, I temporarily used plastic bubble wrap on the side to test it out the a/c. It needs some better weather proofing for both sides because you can see daylight through the bottom of the accordion-filler itself, which means bugs and/or moisture can get through. It does come with a good quality weather strip, but I need a more than that on the sides. The unit function is very basic. There are 2 fan functions (high/low) and 2 "cool" functions (high/low) and a cooling gauge that ranges from 1 through 7. The vents allow good airflow and on one of the first 75F days it cooled the room quickly after a full day of direct sun. I hope weather stays mild, but I think this room is now ready for summer temps. 4.5 because of filler panels / weather proofing.
