Pro-Sense Roundworm Liquid De-Wormer for Cats, 4-Ounce

I am sitting here reading other reviews and I am blown away! If your animal still has worms. More than likely it has a different worm other than round worms or has more than just round worms. We used pro solutions brand on our cats and it worked wonders! Used it on our puppy who had round worms and hook worms. It only kills the round worms as stated on the bottle so we took her to the vet for separate medicine for the hook worms.

My 12 week old 2.5 pound indoor kitten would NOT eat this mixed in with wet food. However, when a cat has worms, getting them to eat is next to impossible anyway. So, I had to use a dropper and give him 1/4 teaspoon by getting him to open his mouth and carefully injecting it onto the roof of his mouth. Within 8 hours he vomited 2 still alive worms and his excrement contained 2 more. I thought they would be dead, but after researching the main ingredient, Piperazine, I discovered that it is designed to paralyze the worm, causing it to release its hold on the intestinal tract so the animal can pass it out of his/her body, but does not kill them inside the animal. The day after, my kitten was very lethargic and still wouldn't eat or drink. I gave him water and milk with a dropper and he still had diarrhea (I was ready to take him to the vet), but by the end of the second day he was eating like crazy, running around the house, excrement was soft, but not diarrhea, playing with everything...back to normal and no more worms. I will repeat the meds in 14 days to ensure protection. This stuff really worked, but not in food (for my kitten). FYI: After doing lots of research, I discovered the life cycle of a roundworm is 40-60 days and this med only works on adult roundworms...if there are any eggs in the cat's system they will hatch in 40-60 days and that is why it needs to be readministered monthly.
