Discrete Mathematics Research Progress

Discrete mathematics is the study of mathematical structures that don't support or require the notion of continuity. Discrete mathematics has become popular in recent decades because of its applications to computer science. The nine papers by international contributors collected here highlight recent work in the field. Some subjects are symplectic spreads containing a regulus, optimal processes in irreversible microeconomics, and algorithms for computing the Myerson value by dividends. Other topics include Hamiltonian theory in claw-free graphs, finding combinatorial identities via Riordan arrays, and the structure of certain periodic near rings. Minor grammatical errors mar a few of the papers.
